Vanished Routes is a documentary series about journeys nobody can take again: dead highways, discontinued trains, extinct flight routes, and overland trails erased by borders or by time. Each 10-minute episode follows one route from its first departure to its last, then visits what's left of it today.
How episodes are made
Vanished Routes is intentionally faceless: there's no on-camera host, and every episode is narrated over a mixed-media, paper-collage visual style — cut-out maps, torn kraft paper, vintage textures, and a single red line marking each route. The focus stays on the route and its history, not on a presenter.
Every claim in every episode is drawn from the published sources listed on that episode's page. Nothing is invented to fill a gap in the record; where the historical record is thin or disputed, the episode says so.
Schedule
New episodes publish twice a week, with a teaser short 24 hours before each premiere. The series runs in English, with Spanish and Hindi dubs planned.
